Water Tips - Bathroom & Kitchen

 |
-
Look for a shower head that uses no more than 11 litres per minute. How can you tell? Run the shower and if can fill a 2-litre container with water in under 10 seconds, it’s time to get a low-flow model.
-
A typical bath uses about 75 litres of hot water (double if you’ve got a big tub), while a five-minute shower with an efficient shower head uses about half that. If you like to take frequent baths, wash the guilt away by filling the tub only one-quarter full.
-
Not leaving the tap running but instead filling the sink two-thirds full while shaving, can save you 20 litres of water or more each time.
-
If you already have existing aerators that are rated more than 12.5 litres per minute, consider replacing them with the recommended rated flow.
