Did You Know?
The Town of the Blue Mountains is officially “Idle Free”
As of June 20, 2008, Members of the Town of The Blue Mountains Council, Blue Mountain Resorts Ltd. and the Beaver Valley Community School gathered at the Blue Mountains Public Library Parking Lot to declare the community to be “idle-free”. The declaration will be supported by the placement of idle-free signage in idling hot spots throughout the municipality.

Kimbercote Farm
Kimbercote Farm is a not-for-profit retreat centre near Thornbury in the Town of the Blue Mountains focused on helping local environmental groups, including promoting organic farming in the area as well as outdoor learning.

Earth Day Canada partners with City of Calgary
(September 1, 2009) — The City of Calgary becomes the latest municipality to partner with Earth Day Canada's EcoAction Teams Program.
